Tiaca, triaca, or quiaca is an evergreen tree native to Chile and Argentina belonging to the Cunoniaceae family, found in humid forested mountainous areas of Chile and Argentina. In botany, a panicle is a highly branched inflorescence. The branches of a panicle are typically racemes. The ulmo, roble de Chiloé or muermo is a botanical species of the Cononiaceae family. It is a tree endemic to wooded areas, as it prefers moist, humus-rich soils.
